I love my city of San Antonio, and my hometown university! I’ve always enjoyed working with others and helping the community. Pursuing a teaching degree will allow me to help my community more, and I can’t wait to start!

What was your favorite class and/or who was your favorite professor? Why?

ESL classes because I’ve learned so much.

What would you say is the most important thing you’ve learned over the course of your studies?

Each student I have will come from a diverse background; to reach them, my lessons will have to connect with their prior knowledge so they can have a base to start with.

What is your fondest memory of your time at UTSA?

Making the dean’s list.

How has COVID impacted you, either personally or professionally?

It has affected my social experience and interactions with others.

What are your plans for the future and/or your career?

I would like to be on the city council one day.

You’ve been given the opportunity to have coffee with any notable figure from your field, alive or dead. Who is it, and what does each of you order?

Maria Montessori; we’d both get hot green tea with a sugar cube.
