The Department of Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching is the largest department in our college. We're on the cutting edge of teacher preparation trends in the state of Texas and nationally. For over 50 years, we have been preparing educators through a community-based learning and teaching model of teacher preparation. Our department focuses on a social justice perspective in its undergraduate and graduate programs. Students receive the preparation and training necessary to become effective citizens and educators in culturally diverse settings.
