Cynthia Lima, Ph.D.

Bio

Dr. Cynthia E. Lima is an Assistant Professor of STEM Education at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her research draws from her background in physics, science, and STEM education to examine approaches to science and STEM assessment that provide a window into students’ thinking, as well as integrative STEM learning experiences that promote interdisciplinary knowledge and bridge university and K–12 settings. Across these areas, Dr. Lima’s research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, NIH, and the U.S. Department of Education, and has been published in journals such as Educational Measurement: Issues and Practice and the Journal of College Science Teaching.
