The COEHD Student Success Center is designed to facilitate undergraduate students’ successful academic transition from entry to graduation, support and mentor students in how to best meet identified career goals, and further support campus engagement, well-being and belonging. In addition, the Center serves as a resource center and hub for COEHD students to utilize to enhance their academic journey.

The COEHD Student Success Center acknowledges the financial burden current students may face when taking numerous Teacher Preparation and Certifying Exams. Our goal is to alleviate some of the pressure off of the student by assisting fiscally where we can in the pursuit of your COEHD Degree. This program is designed to provide additional funds ($250-300 per student) for students in the Teacher Candidate Program to aid and assist with the cost of their varying Teaching Certification Exams.

Engaging in internships, service-learning, conferences, research, volunteering, and study abroad are experiences that enhance your personal and professional growth within COEHD. Our Student Success Center works to connect students (up to $1000 per student) with these amazing opportunities by assisting fiscally where we can.

Student Assistance Services serves as a central hub and collaborative resource to assist students with navigating academic and non-academic matters. They’ll help students provide resolutions to their circumstances and support their progress to degree completion and personal or professional development.
Student Assistance Services promotes a student-centric approach and culture of care when providing services within a framework of informality, neutrality, independence, and confidentiality (with some exceptions).
