On August 18, 1974 the College of Education and Human Development recognized it's first graduating class. The 50th anniversary is a milestone that is celebrated with pride and nostalgia. This milestone honors the pioneering spirits of the early graduates and also reflects how COEHD and The University of Texas at San Antonio has evolved through the decades.
A program from the graduation ceremony and images offer a glimpse back in time as we celebrate the 50th anniversary. In that first graduating class, 65 students graduated with a Master of Arts in Bicultural-Bilingual Studies and Education.
