October 20, 2023 - Earlier this month, the UTSA-Edgewood ISD Teacher Residency was honored as a recipient of the 2023 Texas Association of Teacher Educators (TxATE) Exceptional Partnership Award. The award celebrates exemplary district and university partnership initiatives that have effectively facilitated ongoing improvements among all stakeholders.
The UTSA-Edgewood ISD Teacher Residency is in its second year of implementation. This partnership is managed by the Office of Professional Preparation and Partnerships (OPPP)within the College of Education and Human Development.
OPPP works to prepare future teachers inside and outside the classroom and is nationally recognized for having an above-state average retention rate and for streamlining the teacher preparation degree programs at UTSA.
