Beginning this fall, all academic programs in the College of Education and Human Development will be housed at the Downtown Campus as part of the university’s long-term District Planning Initiative. This move supports UT San Antonio’s vision for continued growth in San Antonio’s urban core and strengthens opportunities for hands-on learning, community engagement and collaboration with educational partners.
Located directly at the Downtown Campus is Java City and the Frio Street Building Food Court, which includes Subway, Pizza Hut, Rowdy’s Downtown Grill and RowdyMart.
Enjoy delicious on-campus dining options at our downtown locations or explore healthy on-demand options and a wide range of nearby local restaurants and cafes.
Campus Services offers a wide selection of parking permits to suit a variety of needs and budgets for students, employees, and visitors.
The University of Texas at San Antonio and VIA partner to provide a variety of convenient options to travel between campuses and around San Antonio. UT San Antonio students, faculty, and staff can access safe, easy, and free transportation services with their U-Pass.
Traveling between UT San Antonio campuses is easy with VIA.
UTSACard is the official identification card of the UTSA community. It provides access to meal plans, transportation, Rowdy Dollars, sporting events, residence halls, final exams, and more. Visit Campus Services to learn more about your ID card.
New office locations at the Downtown Campus are planned to open in the summer to early fall 2026 timeframe. Please contact the department to confirm whether they have moved or remain at the Main Campus before visiting.

Nestled on the second floor of the Buena Vista Street Building (BVB 2.314), the Downtown Campus Library serves as a gateway to a full range of library services, from borrowing tech gear and reserving study spaces to knowledgeable librarians offering expert assistance. The Library offers extensive collections to support Roadrunners with majors specific to the Downtown Campus.
Dedicated to ensuring the safety of everyone on our campuses, UT San Antonio Public Safety provides security services including 24-hour campus patrols, safety escorts, blue light emergency telephones that link directly to the university police department’s dispatch and more.
At UT San Antonio, health and wellness are top priorities. Our downtown locations provide a wide array of wellbeing resources for students, faculty and staff. These resources include the Roadrunner Pantry, fitness center, lactation room, walking trails and more.
