Bio
Mike Bosley, EdD, is a Professor of Practice in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where he leads the development of the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program and works with students, faculty, and community partners to address complex problems of practice. With more than 30 years of experience in higher education leadership, Dr. Bosley has built a career focused on translating research, organizational theory, and evidence-based decision making into meaningful institutional and student success outcomes.
Prior to joining UT San Antonio, he served as Associate Provost for Workforce Education and Executive Dean at Valencia College, where he led academic, workforce, student affairs, and operational initiatives across multiple campuses. Throughout his career, he has guided strategic planning, accreditation, enrollment management, faculty development, workforce partnerships, and grant-supported innovation, consistently connecting theory with practical solutions that improve learning, access, and organizational effectiveness.
Dr. Bosley earned his Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Florida, where his research focused on professional development, teaching and learning, governance, and community college leadership. As both a scholar and practitioner, he has taught graduate and doctoral courses centered on organizational theory and practice, served on dissertation committees, and mentored emerging educational leaders. His work reflects a commitment to bridging scholarship and practice to strengthen institutions, develop leaders, and create lasting impact for students and communities.
