About Race, Ethnicity, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

The Department hosts three program areas: African American Studies, Mexican American Studies, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. These areas provide opportunities for intellectual growth with an emphasis on diasporic, decolonial, and intersectional approaches towards race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality studies in education.

We remain committed to preparing our students to act as agents of social change in academic, legal, and non-profit fields. At REGSS, the staff and faculty remain devoted to helping our students navigate within the university to work towards a more equal and just world. Our website contains more information on program areas and faculty interests. Please contact us with any questions about our department.
