If you secure an internship with an organization and you are working on research dedicated to social justice, please apply for DRJ funding. All internships must be formalized with the organization, and as possible should be linked to UTSA internship course credit. (Some great internship opportunities in San Antonio include DRJ partners Esperanza Peace & Justice Center and SAACAM). All DRJ interns will receive a stipend for the semester. Applicants may not be employed with UTSA (part-time or full-time).
DRJ can fund undergraduate students who team with a professor at UTSA who can mentor in research on social justice to: 1) serve as a research assistant to the professor and advance the professor’s project on social justice OR 2) support a student project on social justice. Please note if you are applying for a student project, you must work with a faculty mentor and produce a final project for the DRJ portal. All DRJ UGRA will receive an hourly rate of up to 19 hours per week. Please note UGRA’s cannot have additional employment with the university.
