"I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. During my free time, I like to go outdoors for a run, camp, or just enjoy nature. However, I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. Something unique about myself is that I am always striving to be the very best I can be. I want to become a teacher because I want to make a difference in people’s lives. Being a teacher will allow me to help students develop essential life skills that will benefit them beyond the classroom.”

Why did you choose UTSA?

I chose UTSA because it is a university that aspires their students from all backgrounds to experience and do what they want to do in life, whether it is working with children or curing people. UTSA allows students to reach their fullest potential and supports them the best way possible with adequate resources in order to succeed.

What was your favorite class and/or who was your favorite professor? Why?

My favorite professor was Dr. John Chavez. He is just great! I had him for an EDU course and he would always make sure we had the necessary information needed in order to continue our education path of becoming actual teachers. Loved his class!

What is your fondest memory of your experience at UTSA?

My fondest memory at UTSA would be walking by the Sombrilla. There was just something there that made me feel like I was in those beach colleges. The smell of the water, breeze, etc made it worth it.

What are your plans for the future and/or your career?

My plans for the future are to become fully certified in order to continue teaching in Texas.
