The College of Education and Human Development celebrates the recent   Supreme Court   decision for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA.) We are proud to share this momentous occasion with our DACA and unDACAmented students, faculty and staff but recognize that there is still work to be done.

While this important decision eases some of the uncertainty surrounding DACA, we recognize that the fear, anxiety and hardships of these policies may continue to impact our DREAMers. We stand committed to supporting our DACA and unDACAmented students, faculty and staff while continuing to educate future leaders about the importance of diverse and multicultural communities. With the addition of the   Race, Ethnicity, Gender and Sexuality Studies (REGSS) department   COEHD is proud to have the knowledge of scholar activists and educators dedicated to providing the vital resources and education to future educators and DREAMers.

We remain committed to providing a learning environment that is diverse, inclusive and strives for excellence and equity, and are excited to stand with our DREAMers as we look towards a brighter future.

Sincerely,

Margo DelliCarpini, Ph.D.

Vice Provost for Strategic Educational Partnerships and

Dean of the College of Education and Human Development

President's Distinguished Professor
