Description
Dr. Gordon earned her Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2022 and is currently a lecturer in the Department of African and African Diaspora Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Gordon's research and teaching specialize in the ethnohistory of Black-Central American and Afro-Caribbean/Afro-Latin American communities, with a focus on gender, sexuality, and reproductive justice in the Caribbean coastal region of Nicaragua.
