Description

Dr. Hayes is a postdoctoral researcher at Dartmouth University, with a Ph.D. in Sociology from Rutgers University. Her research delves into body-centered intersections of Black and women of color feminisms, Afro-Texan femme subjectivities, and histories of state violence. Through her exploration of Black and Brown Texan life, Dr. Hayes takes a transdisciplinary approach to race, grounded in Black Studies, Black Feminist thought, Queer of Color Critique, and Cultural Studies.

The Departments of Race, Ethnicity, Gender & Sexuality Studies and History are pleased to announce a research talk by Dr. Endia Hayes, a joint Assistant Professor candidate in African American Studies and History.
