Description
sista docta was first presented by Omi Jones in 1993 as a commentary on her experiences as a young Black woman professor working at Predominantly White Institutions. Thirty years later, Omi is now retired from academic life, improvising with new possibilities, and ready to explore what it means to be a former professor dancing into her Queer crone time. sista docta/REBIRTH is a spirited participatory performance that invites everyone to consider how we re-imagine ourselves beyond institutions, social constructions, and limited imaginations.
