Welcome to the website for the College of Education and Human Development (COEHD) at The University of Texas at San Antonio. The College is the leading provider of educators in the San Antonio area and one of the largest in the state of Texas.
The College is an exciting place to be; student enrollment is increasing at a rapid rate and our program offerings are expanding dramatically, with courses offered at the 1604 campus as well as the downtown campus. We offer programs in interdisciplinary studies and teacher preparation, educational leadership, counseling, adult education, educational psychology, higher education, health and kinesiology, bilingual-bicultural studies, and Mexican- American studies. Field-based experiences and action research projects are important components of our degree programs and play a critical role in preparing students for their chosen careers.
Our renowned faculty, staff, and administrators are dedicated to preparing educators who are knowledgeable about and respectful of the communities they serve. Our faculty is committed to engaging in research that addresses critical educational issues and that informs policy and practice related to these issues. We believe that partnerships with local and area school districts, community agencies, other postsecondary educational institutions and community-based organizations are crucial to accomplishing our mission and we are engaged in numerous collaborative efforts in this regard.

UltiNetS, Intel learning series partner, and a ‘Morehouse Young Entrepreneurs’ Award winning company, were hired to distribute equipment to include 100 Intel-powered Classmate PCs and 100 laptops for students and teachers in Malawi.
