Personal and Professional Development at the Heart of Summer Bridging Institute

Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, for the first time in its 17-year history, the Summer Bridging Institute (SBI) hosted by the Academy for Teacher Excellence (ATE) Research Institute was held completely online. Through a committed effort from the SBI committee, students and ATE, this year’s institute was able to engage with more than 400 participants through ZOOM.

MLK, Jr. March January 20, 2020

President Taylor Eighmy, Provost Kimberly Espy and VPIE Myron Anderson are all expected to attend and march alongside UTSA students, faculty, staff and alumni. The MLK, Jr. Parade theme this year is Dream, Believe, Unite, Do all of which UTSA believes and supports.

Dr. Mari Riojas-Cortez awarded NAECTE’s 2019 Outstanding Early Childhood Teacher Educator Award

Dr. Mari Riojas-Cortez, from the department of Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching, was recently selected by the National Association for Early Childhood Teacher Educators (NAECTE) to receive the 2019 Outstanding Early Childhood Teacher Educator Award.

Educational Leadership and Policy Studies starts the Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership

The Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership, which is a journal of the University Council for Educational Administration, had their first Open House meeting this past Monday, November 11th, to meet with the editors of the journal and to learn more about the peer-reviewed cases they publish.
