WSI kicks off Women’s History Month, honors Women’s Advocate of the Year

The UTSA Women's Studies Institute, housed in the College of Education and Human Development's Consortium for Social Transformation, kicked off Women's History Month 2018 with an opening ceremony on Tuesday, March 6 on the Main Campus. The event featured a keynote speech from Erika Prosper Nirenberg, director of Customer Insights for H-E-B and 2018 chairwomen for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The Institute also presented Anel I. Flores, local author, advocate, and artist, with the 2018 Women's Advocate of the Year award.
