Members of the UTSA community gathered together on Wednesday, May 2, to celebration the addition of "El Rincon de Los Antojos" Cookbook Collection to the UTSA Libraries Special Collections. The cookbook collection was developed by members of the Erlinda's Wish Program (EWP), which includes staff members from the UTSA Vice President for Business Affairs' Facilities and Housekeeping staff. The cookbooks were developed over six weeks and included special family recipes and stories behind the recipes.

The celebration included words from Ilna Colemere, EWP coordinator, COEHD Dean Margo DelliCarpini, Interim Senior Associate Vice President for Business Affairs David Riker, and Erlinda Castillo, UTSA Housekeeping staff member and namesake of the EWP. The celebration also included a reading of "Roots," a poem written by EWP member Marcella Duran, and the signing of the deed for each of the cookbooks to the library to add to the nationally recognized Mexican Cookbook Collection. The event concluded with an opportunity for attendees to taste some of the recipes from the collection.
