UTSA, AAS hosts Dillard University president for MLK, Jr. lecture

The University of Texas at San Antonio and the African American Studies program hosted the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. lecture featuring Dr. Walter Kimbrough, president of Dillard University. The event also included a special musical presentation by the UTSA Women's Choir from the UTSA Music Department, and remarks from UTSA President Taylor Eighmy, UTSA MLK, Jr. Scholarship recipient Genesis Cogle, and Vice President for Inclusive Excellence Myron Anderson. In addition, President Eighmy announced the new Department of Race, Ethnicity, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, which will be housed in the College of Education and Human Development.
