UTSA Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 Educator Candidates, please note you may be eligible for a probationary certificate!

This is a limited time offer that Guidance on Educator Certification and Preparation to be sure you understand the opportunity.

If you completed the UTSA Teacher, Counselor, Principal, Superintendent, or Reading Specialist program successfully, but have not obtained your standard certificate, then you may be able to get a probationary certificate that will allow you to apply for jobs. The probationary certificate will only be valid for one year, and you will not be able to renew it, so you must use the opportunity to pass your certification exam and earn your standard certificate. If you think you are qualified, or if you have other questions, contact the Certification Officer at teacheradvising@utsa.edu or 210-458-6287.

If you have not obtained the probationary certificate by https://www.tasb.org/services/hr-services/hrx/hr-laws/educator-certification-flexibility-in-response-to-covid-19.aspx
