The Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Nutrition recently celebrated National Public Health Week with two special events last week in conjunction with the UTSA Health Honor Society. On Injury and Violence Prevention day, the department and society hosted a self-defense workshop, featuring Corporal Maranda Tupper. Additionally, last Tuesday for Communicable Disease Day, the department and society hosted a Movie Night to watch "How to Survive a Plague," a documentary on the AIDS epidemic in America.

The department currently offers an M.S. in Health and Kinesiology; 3 graduate certificates in health, applied health research, and community nutrition; a B.S. in Health - Community Health and Preventative Services; a B.S. in Public Health - Promotion and Behavioral Science; and an undergraduate minor in community health.
