COEHD offers summer 2013 study abroad in Cuzco, Peru

Study and teach abroad in the magical city of Cuzco, Peru, June 11 - July 13, 2013. The trip is paid for through a Fulbright-Hays Scholarship grant. Spaces are limited.

This adventure is open to all COEHD undergraduate and graduate students. COEHD participants will work directly with Peruvian students and teachers in Peruvian classrooms and schools. COEHD students will also study Spanish and culture at the local university, paid through the grant.

The UTSA faculty sponsors for the program are Dr. Peter Sayer and Dr. Kimberley Kennedy.

The trip features:
Ø An ESL practicum working with students and practitioners in local schools
Ø Homestay with local families
Ø Language immersion experience and Spanish language study
Ø Learn about Peruvian culture and the diversity of Peru’s traditions and indigenous cultures
Ø Excursions to indigenous villages and archaeological sites, including Machu Picchu.
Ø Counts as 3-credit course (undergraduate or graduate)
All travel expenses (airfare, homestays, language course) paid by UTSA-COEHD through the Fulbright-Hays grant. Students pay tuition only.
