AERA Special Interest Group (SIG) on Research in Reading and Literarcy

The goal of this SIG is to stimulate communication and inquiry among researchers, policymakers, and others dedicated to developing and using high quality research in reading and literacy, including writing, from various disciplines and theoretical perspectives. Dues: Students ($5 per year) and faculty and others ($20 per year).  All are welcome to attend our AERA Business Meeting in New Orleans, may offer to review conference proposals, and are welcome to join!  Contact: 458-2672 or e-mail: Rosalind.Horowitz@utsa.edu
 

UTSA's Student Council Chapter of the International Reading Association (IRA)- is a non-profit professional Educational organization composed of faculty advisors, students, and pre-service teachers, and others interested in promoting literacy in San Antonio. UTSA Student Council IRA offers its members:

Leadership opportunities
Advocate reading through community service
Professional development
Ways to build your teaching portfolio
A way to build relationships with friends and network

UTSA Student Council IRA encourages its members to join the Texas State Reading Association and/or the International Reading Association. It is also an affiliate of the International Reading Association.
