Kappa Delta PI Honor Society in Education
Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education was established to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. The founders chose the name from the Greek words to represent knowledge, duty, and power. The mission of Kappa Delta Pi is to sustain an honored community of diverse educators by promoting excellence and advancing scholarship, leadership, and service. The vision of Kappa Delta Pi is to help committed educators be leaders in improving education for global citizenship.

UTSA's Student Council Chapter of the International Reading Association (IRA)
IRA is a non-profit professional Educational organization composed of faculty advisors, students, and pre-service teachers, and others interested in promoting literacy in San Antonio. UTSA Student Council IRA offers its members:

Leadership opportunities
Advocate reading through community service
Professional development
Ways to build your teaching portfolio
A way to build relationships with friends and network

UTSA Student Council IRA encourages its members to join the Texas State Reading Association and/or the International Reading Association. It is also an affiliate of the International Reading Association.
