Nancy Simpson, Keynote Speaker
“Traditional Japanese Folktales: Collected and Retold by Hiroko Fujita”

Nancy Simpson, storyteller, retired teacher, learned these wonderful, traditional stories from her friend, Japanese Storyteller Hiroko Fujita. Fujita san, born in 1937, learned these stories from an old farmer when she was a young child.  Since 1995 Fujita san has come from her home in Kashiwa City, Chiba, Japan, for 13+ storytelling tours across the United States. She entertains the young-at-heart (of all ages) sharing her stories and her culture.
