Welcome to the Center for Research and Policy in Education!
The Center is focused on research and policy dealing with the success of students across the P-20 educational system. Some of our current projects include:
• Latino/a Student Completion Project—involves research on Latino/a college completion funded by TG
• Diplomas Project Evaluation—involves research on Latino/a student success in San Antonio, funded by the Lumina Foundation in collaboration with the San Antonio Education Partnership and Café College
• PERSPECTIVAS—a policy brief series on issues impacting Latino/a student success in collaboration with the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education and ETS
• National Latino Education Research Initiative—in collaboration with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities
UTSA researchers find ways to help Latino students be successful in higher education

The UTSA Center for Research and Policy in Education released a report focused on Latino student success that finds ways to help this typically underserved population. The report, "Ventajas/Assets y Conocimientos/Knowledge, Leveraging Latin@ Strengths to Foster Student Success," looks at the advantages and disadvantages Latino students face when entering college and focuses on leveraging strengths.
