The Center for Military Families
The Center for Military Families is housed in the
College of Education and Human Development (COEHD) at the University of Texas
at San Antonio (UTSA).
The vision of the Center is to enhance the daily experiences of military families. The Center's mission is the holistic engagement with the often-challenging circumstances families experience in military service, with particular attention to the well-being of military-connected children. The long-term goals of the Center are to serve the military community through practical means, as well as through contributing to research and theory that aims to better understand how to mediate challenging circumstances in the lives of military families. The Center seeks to meet these goals by leveraging existing internal and external resources in a collaborative approach. In the process, the Center will become an integral part of the network of resources available to military families, and of UTSA's infrastructure.
