Undergraduate Certificate in Athletic Coaching

Purpose of Program

The Certificate in Athletic Coaching program is designed to provide students with the education and training needed to pursue a career in athletic coaching.

Program Options

All students pursuing a Certificate in Athletic Coaching must complete the following 15 semester credit hours:


KIN 1101 Team Sports (repeated for a total of 3 semester credit hours)
KIN 3013 Theory of Coaching
KIN 3113 Scientific Principles of Physical Activity
KIN 4413 Coaching Athletics
KIN 4943 Athletic Coaching Practicum



Career Opportunities

Students who complete the program and graduate from the university are will be able to pursue a career in athletic coaching.
